Chilli Pip Designs is a brand that doesn't necessarily conform to the norm but instead creates unique pieces of jewellery that make a subtle statement. My hope is that my designs will allow you to experiment and express yourself by adding something a little different and intriguing to your collection.

My name is Lisa de Swardt. Born in Kenya to a British mother and Italian Father, now living in South Africa with my husband and kids.

I have been blessed with an interesting and colourful life which I hope comes through in my designs.

It all started by chance when I did part-time work at a beautiful jewellery shop in Kenya. I knew nothing about jewellery or beading or stringing and had no experience or skills at the time but I learnt a lot and I loved every minute of it!

I have spent many years learning new skills and techniques that have allowed me to grow my business and my collections into what they are today.

I am passionate about my pieces and find that the only thing more rewarding than bringing an idea to life is seeing my customer's reaction to the final product.

I love working on custom orders so if there is something you see in my shop that you would like to tweak (changing the beads or colours or materials) to better suite your taste and style, please let me know and I will happily throw some ideas around with you.
