contact me to discuss. FYI - I make quilts using high quality traditional style quilt batting which makes a flat blanket. I do NOT make comforters which have a higher loft than quilts because most comforters use down or polyester filling. Please be sure to read descriptions of my products so you know for sure what you’re buying. Thanks

Rag Quilts To Cherish!

I LOVE LOVE fabric! I love to sew! I was laid off from a job and then realized I should put my sewing skills to use. But what to sew...I started with minky Cuddle Bunnies. I had made a few at Easter time for my grandchildren and they were a hit. I've always been a traditional quilt maker, but one quilt could take me years to complete! Then I discovered rag quilts! I thought they where so beautiful and I wanted to learn to make them!! I made one and was hooked. I live in a Geodesic Dome home surrounded by beautiful cottage flowers, hence the name of my shop, CottageDome.

I have been sewing since I was a child. My mother was a quilter and collector of fabric. She would order "fabric grab bags" from the Sears catalog. It was always so exciting when these packages arrived at the door. I would sew doll cloths, dolls, and eventually my own clothes! She passed that love of sewing and beautiful fabric on to me. There is a thrill involved in putting it all together and making a beautiful work of art.

I'm a mother of 3 grown children and grandmother to 7. They are my inspiration.
