CrowCottageCrafts is made up of husband and wife team, Jim and Maria Ryder. They are both from the UK, but have called Ireland their home since October 1994.

Maria loves to create things and having been taught to knit at the age of three, decided that she needed an outlet for the items that she was producing. This outlet, was initially, at a local Farmer's Market, but when she discovered Etsy at the end of 2010, she decided to open a shop of her own, and so CrowCottageCrafts was born in January 2011. She is primarily concerned with producing knitwear, but has also expanded into handmade cards and rustic fairy doors,

Jim is the artist of the family. He previously went to Art College in the UK and is currently studying for an MA in Mediaeval and Renaissance English Literature in UCC. Despite his studies, he still finds the time to paint, and produces watercolours and acrylics. These are inspired by, both the landscape around him, and fantasy and myth.
