I started sewing doll clothes when I was tiny. My Mother was an expert seamstress & teacher.
We had a drapery design shop in Florida for many years. I left the business for college, teaching, & social work but always returned. Hence I have over 35 years experience in custom drapery design & construction.
After closing the shop I became caregiver to my parents & needed a creative outlet, got really bored without the stimulation of a business & discovered Etsy 7 1/2 years ago. I decided to offer biodegradable burlap & cottons in simple designs that I could make while taking care of my parents. Well, my little business became very successful on Etsy.
I'm alone now with my rescued dogs & work & to help support homeless animals, which is my passion.
I try to put the same attention to detail in my burlap curtains that I put into the high end custom window treatments I made for so long. I constantly search for & offer the best available burlap.
My prices are kept as low as possible.
I believe in 'living simply so others may simply live'.
