I grew up in a family of talent of all sorts, from sewing to quilting, to first and second generation hair dressers, and event planning was always foremost important to allow our family that time with one another. We would travel for miles to attend family reunions, birthday parties, or just a family get together. Come the Christmas holidays, it was a tradition to have breakfast at my cousin's and dinner at my uncle's houses. My cousin made sure the house was well decorated with lights and gifts for many to feel the love all through. Although we didn't send announcements or invitations, families knew what the plans were for the next year, and with no surprise the families remembered where to be and at what time to be there. I made sure I had my gifts of embroidered shirts and scarfs to give, and this is where DAGBU became real. I wanted to give the gift that put a smile on someone's face and have memories to cherish forever. This is how I got my inspiration to explore more to do with my hands.

My uncle always gave me a large coloring book at Christmas so that's when I was introduced to coloring and it was important to get it right every time. As I grew older, I wanted to be able to make things that people would enjoy having to cherish the memories of their love ones.

So I took on as many projects using my hands to see what my niche is. What I discovered is as long as it was something handmade, a unique look and touch, put a smile on one's face, and pretty to the eye, then, I knew that was it... and that's how it all got started.

Although in my shop I am crafting greeting cards, also design scrapbook pages of many themes, housewares, fashion and much more. I welcome custom orders to provide the aesthetic of what you are looking for in a greeting card. I use high quality acid and lignin free card stock and work in a smoke-free/pet free environment. Some of my cards are multi functional.

I incorporate techniques to make the item one of a kind and bring the product to life such as...
