There are no typical days around here. Between children, furry beasts, computers, paperwork, phone calls, school work and piles of vintage treasures...there is never a dull moment.

Some people may call my life chaotic. I call it interesting. Unique. Fun. Enriched. Never did I want something mundane or repetitious. Our life is neither of those things. The only thing consistent is our morning and evening routine. Other than that, anything goes. A day never goes by that we don't learn something new: the history of a new treasure, a nuance of an animal, a piece of trivia, that muddy boots don't clean themselves...

My escape is a trip to the barn. In the presence of my horses, my mind escapes the daily hustle. I take in their smell and warmth. It energizes me in a way that is impossible to explain. I come back feeling refreshed and ready to tackle it all over again.
