“Where flowers bloom so does hope" 🌸
Flowers...such loved flowers...whether in my garden, as a sweet gift from my husband, from the local flower stand or by me painting them...they bring me such pleasure!
It's been over 8 years now that I have painted in my little spare room in our cozy pink country cottage. Beginning with acrylic paint, I eventually found my way to watercolor. Watercolor can be so uncontrolled and spontaneous! allowing me to loosen my control over the outcome of a painting, which is so very freeing. As well, knowing that the medium of watercolor and I are working in tandem to produce something lovely, is so special to me. Basically, any pressure is removed, and beauty seems to have even more room to emerge.
Creating and painting floral arrangements is the kind of art that I enjoy most. However, you will also find me behind the lens of my camera. I love creating art, either by painting or photographing!
Over the past few years, I have been studying and learning an immeasurable amount about color, form, composition, and styles of art. I have filled my bookshelves with biographies of master painters and have purchased more tubes of paint than I could possibly use over the next few years! I have taken both college-level art courses and online art classes. You might say...that I have saturated myself in paint! The result has been a huge bouquet...made of numerous floral paintings.
Truly though, the main focus of my work is to communicate my joy of the Lord while seeking His light and goodness...and by sharing His creative beauty. It is a joy for me to freely paint and share that outcome with you here.
Take a stroll through my shop to find some beauty. I'm hoping you might find something here that would become a gift for a loved one, or even a special treat for yourself!
Painting wiith joy,
Patti
