Welcome to Desert Nights Studio
Diana Alm Liston began her art career as a painter and photographer. She later expanded into sculpture and clay. When she and her husband moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona she discovered lapidary and silversmithing.
Diana began working under the guidance and tutelage of master artist and GIA Jeweler, Mark Payne. Mark’s lapidary work and silversmithing put him among the top artists of this craft.
Diana’s work puts a modern spin on the traditional motifs and stones of southwest design. Her unique, one of a kind jewelry works have found homes around the world, including the US, Canada, Australia, Europe and Japan.
Bryan Ortloff, contributing artist to DNS, joined the studio in 2013. Bryan's work expands the scope of the studio by adding a more masculine flare to our designs. We look forward to offering more of Bryan's designs in the future. Bryan also is the primary lapidary artist for DNS. He, too. worked with master lapidary and GIA Jeweler Mark Payne. Many of his stones are also available to the discerning jewelry artist.
