Living in the beautiful state of Goa I am fortunate enough to have inspiration all around me to create wonderful works of art. But my love of creating jewelry started only in 2008 when my little sis living 370 miles away attended a jewelry workshop and couldn't stop talking about it.
I found that once I began, I couldn't stop. Being a self taught artist, it was challenging for me to get to where I am but I have thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. Though my day job (baking) takes up most of my time, I try to keep some time for my love affair with art.
Though I've got a background in fine art and advertising, I rarely sketch a piece. Instead, I shop for gems in cuts and colors that inspire me and then let my hands take over.
I am not big on color when it comes to clothes - blacks, greys, blues & whites fill my closet - so I find I accessorize in color. And so do a lot of folks. We really love that little bright POP of color that catches everyone's eye.
Local jewelers that sell factory made pieces usually carry well known brands and hence are ridiculously expensive. You cant really change your jewels that often unless you're considerably well off.
My plan for my little store is to offer reasonably priced jewelry with exquisite gemstones sourced from around the world. Each enchanting work of art is a reflection of my mind & soul - and there's something for every mood! All my work is dreamt-up & handcrafted entirely by me to express the magical beauty of the exquisite material with a unique display of color and form.
As for my other creations - I'd like every home to be filled with art. And not all art is affordable. I plan to start a home decor section soon filled with a range of items at affordable rates.
My creations are exclusive, versatile, one-of-a-kind and easy to wear/use. Since no two pieces are exactly the same, each piece is therefore unique.
