Welcome to Devon Leather- vintage style traditionally made leather goods, hand made and hand stitched in England using the best veg tanned and English oak bark tanned leather, sourced locally from the last oak bark tannery in the UK, using vintage tools in my workshop in the heart of the English countryside.
I aim to produce beautiful and functional items that will last.
Please note: I usually use full grain vegetable tanned leather, with all the natural marks and imperfections of real leather. These are not faults, just the natural marks from growth and scars that are present in real leather. This gives each item it's own unique characteristics. I often particularly use full grain oak bark tanned leather which is especially firm and strong.
If you are looking for soft, floppy plastic-like leather with a uniform colour and surface, that doesn't smell like real leather, then this is probably is not the right shop for you! Thank you for stopping by. Please close the door on your way out.

5 out of 5 starsI bought this key case from Devon Leather as I was after a replacement key ring that was made locally. It arrived a few days later in a padded envelope, the key case itself was nicely wrapped, and Liz had put in a note about how to care for the product. It's a beautiful item, made of thick leather and smells lovely. It's closes with two robust fasteners and has six key hangers inside; (it's possible to hang a couple of keys on each hanger). It looks and feels like it will last forever. I love it and I will definitely be buying more stuff from Liz in the future.

It is so professionally made and the leather is oh so gorgeous. I love fine leather goods (every woman has to have a hobby!) and for any of you out there who are dithering about whether to buy I say go for it. You will not be disappointed. Despite being deemed a 'prototype' it is exceptionally well made and the leather is wonderful, not to mention the glorious smell. Are you getting the impression that I am pleased with this bag - I am!! This is the second bag I have purchased from Liz and I have another one being finished and it may not end there! Thank you.
