I have always loved making things. Growing up I was always leaving a trail of paper clippings, scissors and glue in my wake. When my son was born I really enjoyed planning his birthday parties and making everything for his parties myself. I always seemed to pick a theme that was either not in existence or "seasonal" at the party supply store (who knew fire trucks were seasonal?). While I do love a good party store, it just became easier to make it myself. The more I made, the more I realized how happy it made me. Thanks to my sister, who also has an etsy shop (MaryJosPartyPicks - check it out, she makes beautiful things) I finally started an etsy business.
As my son gets older and his birthday celebrations get simpler, I get to recreate the fun I had planning and making things for his birthdays, by creating them for others. I consider myself pretty lucky!
