DriftWoodWorks

Montrose, Colorado

Announcement    Since 2006, I have been creating lamps, mirrors and tables made from driftwood, antlers and hand painted rice paper.

My lamps are at home in a traditional, rustic or contemporary setting. Each shade is hand is made from rice paper that I often watercolor, line with mulberry paper and then painstakingly attach to finely sanded and finished driftwood. Antlers form the frame of several lamps. Many have a repurposed metal base. Each is unique, all cast a wonderful glow when lit.

My mirrors are crafted from the driftwood that washes down from the mountains each spring. I harvest (by permit) a veritable cornucopia of wood -- ponderosa, pinyon, cottonwood, cedar, juniper, even hand hewn wood from old mines. Each piece is cleaned, hand sanded many times and securely screwed onto a lamp base, table or mirror frame. Mule deer antlers or a bit of hand carving adds the finishing touch.

I would be happy to create a custom piece for you. I require 50% down on custom orders before I start with the remaining 50% upon completion.

Shipping note: I custom crate my work at no charge. Actual shipping costs are passed on to you with no markup. I've shipped my art all over North American without any problems. If you have any questions about shipping, please Convo me before buying. We take great care in shipping your piece. Someone must be at your home or place of business to sign for the shipment.
