I've always wanted to start my own business every since I was little. I never knew what I wanted to sell or who I wanted to sell to, I just wanted to own and sell something. I went through so many phases as a grew up to discover what I was really interested in. I grew up wanting to own a business, do hair, design clothes, make all kinds of little crafts such as jewelry, small knick-knacks, and knitwear, and of course do something with playing the violin which has taken over majority of my childhood, 14 years. As I got older, I grew more towards making knitwear and sewing all the time. So I started selling hats and scarves to people at school, whomever asked for something. I would give my family and close friends a crocheted gift each year because I felt that was always so much more personal than buying a gift from a store. I enjoyed seeing others happy with the things they bought from me. It made me excited because others were excited. I always thought of making an Etsy or some kind of website to sell my things on but I never came around to it until I got to college and everyone kept pushing me to finally start it. I am even more encouraged to start now because I really do enjoy seeing other people happy, excited, and pleased with handmade knitwear. It makes me feel like I'm giving a piece of myself to everyone who receives an item from me. Hopefully I can reach people around the country with my eclectic handmade crafts.
