I've been a fan of vintage decor and clothing for a really long time. I never really knew much about the things that I liked, other than they caught my eye and I had to have them. As I grew older I started to realize I was drawn to certain types of things, especially decor related, so I began trying to educate myself further on the things that I did really love. Once I became "out on my own" I quickly began collecting and decorating my tiny apartment with these things that I loved and would have people over just to show them my new finds.

I also loved the idea of sharing my unique finds with other people who had similar tastes or desires to spunk up their living decor. I had been toying with the idea of becoming a "part-time picker" for awhile, but never really settled into the idea.

At the start of the summer of 2012, I was laid off from my job. As with anyone else going through this, I was devastated and started to panic and began grasping at any ideas to make a living or find something to do. After a few failed attempts, I finally landed a few part-time jobs but realized this was also a great opportunity to start actually doing something that I loved.

Since being a long time user, buyer and seller of Etsy, it just seemed natural to start working on my "part-time picker" and share the great things I find at estate sales with people on Etsy.

My hope is to get some momentum so I can continue to go out and search for new treasures that someone out there will love enough to want in their own home.
