I make everything ... from the design, the test piece to each final project that my customers receive. I live in the Cotswolds, a gorgeous part of England with stone walls, and very pretty towns and villages. My love of this area shows in a lot of my work; little wrens, the flight of the swallow in a summer sky and the old five bar gates have provided inspiration. I design something a bit different, with an edge, or style, flowers that look like they should be growing or an abstract piece with a special emotional connection.

I often work with customers and their old or inherited jewellery to create new, up to date pieces.

I've always made things, as a child I spent hours with scissors and paper, having a go with my Dad's tools. I joined a silversmithing course after many years of waiting for the right time, and have not looked back. Immediately I made the jewellery that I wanted to wear, and after learning to set stones I could add colour and sparkle. I was surprised and overwhelmed with compliments and sales from friends and family which spurred me into making it my business.

I have a lovely studio, with natural light and all my tools around me. It's my haven and I adore being surrounded by gems and the tools of my trade.

I'm very conscious of the environment and source recycled and ethical materials wherever possible.

Each and very piece is made with excitement and a bit of trepidation .... will my customer love it? I don't really have a 'best bit' in the process, I enjoy it all, from making and photographing to hearing my customers feedback. But essentially it is the process of the design, from deep inside that works its way to a tangible piece, something special for someone to treasure, that is deep satisfaction for me.
