I was never your average accountant, always wearing ghoulish black finger nails and outlandish outfits! My career started out as a successful Rochester, N.Y. CPA, in a very staid office in an even staider city.

I made a complete metamorphosis to Frankie Stein, costume designer, artist in 1981 opening my first small shop which featured my own designs, antiques and collectables. I moonlighted, I would go to my accounting practice in the early morning and at 12 noon I'd change into some wild clothes and head to my shop. I'd play Benny Goodman music and turn into this other person. I would be Sibyl!

Finally I sold my accounting business and moved to Aspen Colorado. It was there that I became consumed by the world of costumes. My Aspen store like my current shop was called Frankie Steinz, I dressed the rich and famous and my business was an immediate hit.! In 1989 after seven years of Aspen, a need for change and burnout on everything being "too perfect" I moved cold turkey to New York City where I set up shop. The rest is history.

My business, Frankie Steinz centers around by appointment only clients like producers of commercials, TV shows and print ads. I design and construct wearable art and outrageousness! My many clients include, ABC networks, DIsney Productions, Sony Music Corp. H.B.O., Dolly Parton, Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino.

I have been featured in the New York Times, New York Magazine, Time Out Magazine and Japan's Brutus Magazine, to mention a few.

Frankie Steinz is credited on the major Academy Award winning Film "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" a film I worked on, which was one of the highlights of my career.

But my secret passion is that of a collector, hoarder, pack rat.
