I retired ten years ago with plans to earn some extra income freelance writing. (Still working on that one). I have two nieces who have shops on Etsy, and after listening to their adventures in vintage hunting and some nudging from George (my partner in all things) ~ we agreed to give it a try...we were both instantly hooked. He loves shopping at yard sales, thrift shops and estate sales as much as I do.

We like to look for unusual items, hard to find items and especially mystery items. It's exciting to find something that we've never seen before and the challenge to research an item and learn something new. We've picked up so much inventory, that we decided to open another shop for books, boxes, art and ephemera. So now, we're twice as challenged ~ at our age, it's always a good thing to keep these minds working.

We've had fun over the last few years going on road trips, looking for unusual things to sell. I've reach a point that it has become more work than fun. Age catches up with you when you aren't paying attention, which is what has happened with us. So, we have decided to list a close out sale for this shop. We're going to have a sale for about 3 months and then close it down. I have had so many delightful conversation with customers, most importantly, they've been happy customers. We do have another shop that will stay open for awhile longer, I have a lot of inventory left for this one, so it will close next spring.
