Announcement    Thanks for visiting our shop, we design and create fused glass objects and wall art pieces that are mostly coastal inspired.

From glassware for fine dining, to unique colourful textured gifts such as fruit bowl, key rest, coaster or upstand, to large scale commission projects, Glass Relief is here to bring fresh and exciting new designs, by using relief and colour in glass.

Everything is hand-crafted; I fabricate the moulds and textures, the glass is processed and then fired in a kiln at temperatures over 800 degree°C.

I, Matthew Adkins, am bringing my experiences and knowledge from the architectural glass industry to develop this exciting new range of products. I received a Ceramics and Glass degree in 2002, where the foundations for my love of glass making were forged; my passion took me to work in London for one of the UK’s leading decorative glass companies, where I have been a key figure in manufacturing kiln-formed architectural glass on an international scale.

After helping to develop bespoke textured glass for designers and architects for so many years it’s a pleasure to make more personnel work. I draw inspiration from the details of textures and colours which are found around us, the natural world and its landscape. I seek elegance, precision and simplicity within my work.

We are happy to expand them on request. Often, products are made to order so if there is a specific product/design that you would like to get but in a different size/colour/shape, please let us know.
Please follow us at www.facebook.com/GlassRelief

Please note that all of Glass Relief’s products are made in Britain

Please be aware that due to the handmade process, each product is uniquely different so you can expect a slight variation in size, glass tint and texture.

Welcome to our shop and we hope you enjoy browsing!
