HALLMARKING
All sterling silver pieces in my shop with a silver content over 7.78 grams will have an official hallmark struck by the London Assay Office and will include my maker's mark initials - LJW. In the UK it is illegal to sell or describe any item over this weight as silver unless it is hallmarked. (A .925 stamp alone is not an official hallmark.) A UK hallmark is struck by an independent assay office and guarantees the precious metal content of the item you are buying. Items weighing under 7.78 g will not bear a hallmark since it is not a legal requirement. If you do wish for a lighter item to be hallmarked this can be arranged, However, this would result in a longer delivery time and an additional charge to cover Assay Office fees.
RETURNING AN ITEM (OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS)
It is very important to me that you are happy with your order. However, if you do wish to return your purchase, I would be grateful if you could let me know as soon as possible so that I am aware of your intentions.
It is important that overseas customers clearly mark a returned package "RETURN ITEM (NO VALUE) " on the original customs label and on the parcel so that customs charges are not made for its re-entry to the UK, as any such costs incurred will be deducted from your refund amount.
Please return the item in an unused condition and in it's original packaging and obtain proof of posting or use a tracked and traced service.
