I am a modern day Fraktur artist. My Fraktur paintings are inspired by the American Folk Art style know as Fraktur Art- originally created by the Pennsylvania Germans between the years of 1750 and 1850. They used naive and primitive images including angels, birds and tulips to decorate and adorn birth and marriage records as well as religious books and documents.
I include authentic images and text from Fraktur pieces of antiquity in my paintings to reflect the style of their time and to pay homage to Fraktur artists of antiquity.
As well as Fraktur. I enjoy painting Renaissance reproduction paintings, Antique Tea Cup paintings and Victorian inspired artwork, all which can be found in my Etsy shop.
I have had a love of drawing from an early age. I especially love drawing faces and eyes and I always start all of my painting with the drawing of the right eye.
I am a Fantasy artist as well as a modern day Fraktur artist . I love using the intensity of color in my work, and bringing characters to life. I use a lot of symbolism and the elements like fire and the sky in my Fantasy Art..
