Granddaddy's House: A family story

Granddaddy's House is so full of memories and music -- and lots of stuff.

Granddaddy and Grandmother were thrifty, ingenious folk who could -- and did -- fix anything! Granddaddy was the inventive type, as seen by his intricate design for an electric toothbrush long before they came on the market. He was just laughed at about the idea.... Grandmother was a classy lady and a wonderful seamstress who sewed much of her family's wardrobe through the years. She was quite creative in her organization as well as in time-saving ideas -- we're still trying to learn how she did it!

But it was because they were wise enough to see a use for everything that they kept so much, fixing everything they could and repurposing what couldn't be fixed. It is in honor of them that we have opened our shop here on Etsy, carrying forward their time-honored legacy of thriftiness and usefulness into the next century.
