I grew up in rural michigan surrounded by barns filled with rusty gold junk which always fascinated me! Born a self described history nerd, I wanted to know the history of all these old items. I would save up my allowance and would often run down to the local antique store and pick out a random old treasure trinket instead of a new toy. I often find myself saying and thinking I was born in the wrong decade, I love everything from days gone buy vs. the sterile and new. Give me something old and showing it's chippy, worn and gorgeous patina and I'm a happy girl! I eventually started hitting flea markets as I got older and found myself amassing a very large collection from the sheer joy of picking. Then a light bulb went off and I realized I could try to sell these items that I loved figuring if I loved them so would others! so began my love of junk & so began this Etsy journey! Opening with a humble beginning in 2011 to this now becoming my full time employment just this year (2015). I couldn't be happier getting to do what I have loved since a child as my full time job, it's a dream come true! I couldn't have done any of this without all my amazing customers both past and future, all the friends I have made here on etsy and of course my amazing husband who helped me get this fully off the ground and is there for me everyday!
