The print arrived sooner than I expected and I am very pleased with the print. I will be visiting your shop often. Thank you, Greg.

Frequently asked questions
How are your prints mailed out?
To insure a safe and secure delivery I mail out 99% of prints in an acid-free sleeve, shipped flat inside a sturdy rigid envelope, protected with thick cardboard.
Are these genuine antique prints?
Yes, all my prints are genuine original antique prints from the date stated. I do not sell modern reproductions.
What is the best way to handle and frame an antique print?
I will include a "care of your antique print" information sheet with your purchase.
Why are there marks or stains on some of the prints?
Please keep in mind the prints I sell have been around for 100 years or more. Individual pieces may have seen many owners and been handled many times over the course of their existence. As a result each piece has developed a history of its own. Short edge splits, foxing, discoloration, etc. are all things to expect on prints of this age. They rarely distract from the beauty of the print and add to the overall character of the item. When you receive your print remember that you are not handling a modern copy, you are holding a piece of history!
What is foxing?
Foxing is an age-related process that causes spots and browning on old paper documents such as books and prints. The name may derive from the fox-like reddish-brown color of the stains, or the rust chemical ferric oxide which may be involved. Paper so affected is said to be "foxed".
Foxing does not have a negative factor in the value of the paper item for collectors. Foxing does not affect the actual integrity of the paper.
Why buy antique prints?
Because modern copies of prints lack the collectability and re-sale value of an antique print. Copies also cannot give you the pleasure and satisfaction of owning a real piece of 19th Century Art! When you buy an antique print you are buying a piece of history that can be enjoyed for generations to come!
What if my package becomes lost?
Sorry, I'm not responsible for any lost or damaged packages once they have been shipped. If you want insurance please contact me prior to buying the item so I can add it to your shipping costs. Thank you.
