The Grooming Kit

First-class tools are necessary at the very outset. No matter how skillfully one may handle inferior tools, they will invariably produce poor results. Probably as many failures have resulted from the use of poor razors, strops, or soap as from the lack of knowledge how to use them. In order that the best possible results may be attained, good tools and skill in using them should go hand in hand.

The Razor

Classic double edge (DE) wet shaving razors use economical blades and are made from durable metal. The head features a safety bar that glides against the face to prevent over cutting. This razor style is considered a favorite among those starting out in classic wet shaving. DE safety razors are perfect for grooming a beard & mustache. They have a single edge that allows precision cuts to shape and contour facial hair.

The Blades

Many double edge (DE) blades differ just slightly enough to notice a big difference when shaving/grooming. We sell a fantastic selection of blades that we also use and recommend. These blades are sharp, yet recyclable, and very affordable.

The Brush

Boar hair beard brush that fits perfectly in the palm. Solid wood handle with painted Harvest Beard design. Wrapped neatly with beard grooming instructions. Approximate size ~2"x5". Item may include free beard brush bag. This product is designed to promote classic beard grooming techniques. After a shower, the beard needs to be properly dried to prevent musty smells from developing. This brush helps draw the water out while stimulating the skin underneath.

The Beard Comb

We sell the finest hand cut Kent Comb, which are perfect for grooming that beard. These handcut teeth are ideal for sculpting and grooming. The teeth are polished so that hairs are not snagged.

CLEANS the HAIR - Handmade, all fine teeth & saw-cut for the gentle, non-scratch treatment of hair and scalp. The inside edge of each tooth is left with the rough saw-cut impression which, when the hair is drawn through the teeth, cleans the hair of dust and encourages the release of natural hair oils.
PREVENT SPLIT ENDS - Polished to perfection, unlike other inferior moulded combs, to glide smoothly through the hair to help prevent split ends. Fine tooth combs are great for styling and aligning uneven hairs.

FEEL THE DIFFERENCE between a handmade comb and a moulded comb. Inferior moulded combs have razor-sharp teeth which can damage hair and cause split ends. Finely polished handmade combs will prevent split ends and glide smoothly through your hair. Every comb undergoes the traditional craft of shaping and cutting from solid blank of tortoiseshell effect material. Each tooth is cut by special circular saws, profiled, bevelled and hand-polished on pumice wheels to ensure perfect hair penetration without scratching the scalp.

The Mustache Comb

The tight area above the lip and under the nose require a small comb that can get into the area and do it's job. Aligning hairs and providing precise control while trimming the mustache.

The Scissors

Sharp trimming scissors are necessary for fine tuning facial hair edges. Solid metal with dark finish. These need to be sharp so that they don't pull and snag hairs as they are cut.

The Towel

Soft terry velour towels are preferred during a proper shaving/grooming experience. Prior to any shave, hot soak this towel on the face for several minutes. This relaxes the hairs and opens the pores for excellent shaving. Afterward, soak in cold water to close up the pores. Or tuck into your shirt collar while shaving to keep your clothes clean and then use to pat dry the face.

The towel is also ideal for drying a wet beard. Beards should be well dried after a shower to prevent musty odors from developing. Use a soft beard towel to help dry out the beard.

Beard Oil

Beard Balm

Made with rejuvenating oils and beeswax, this balm will help shape a frazzled beard to look more defined. Including all natural beeswax, organic coconut oil, argan oil and organic jojoba oil.
