About 10 years ago I left my hometown to become a professional ballet dancer. Since then I have met the man of my dreams, we had two kids(retired from dancing), and I brought them all back with me to the Loan Star State!
Now that my full-time roll is "Mommy" my own mother and myself decided the time had come to have some fun!
Art is in my blood ~ It comes honestly. I grew up in a very artistic home, thanks to my mother passing down her fabulous skills. We rarely ever bought home decor, gifts or simple things most people would. I didn't even buy a store bought card until the 21st century! Not only did we make our own cards we even made the paper to make the cards! {That was another business I had as a teenager to help pay for much of my dance training expenses.} We can't help it ~ We love to create!
After coming back home, and tossing around ideas, we decided to dive into the Etsy world. I LOVE Esty and have been a shopper for years. Always delighted with my finds! My mother(Cindy) has been working on her interior design degree and the fresh knowledge flows right in with her already natural talents. She will hate me for saying this, but she is a continual "straight A" student! :)
We have been obsessed with burlap and the feel it brings to a room-so that is where we decided to begin. We have so many ideas it's impossible to keep up with them! One of the best ideas we have had is the following: My mom mentioned the idea of having a portion of our sales go to a ministry/charity. I loved the idea and immediately thought of A21 Campaign. It is an organization dedicated to abolish human trafficking all around the world. She about jumped out of the phone and exclaimed she was thinking about the same thing, but wanted to hear my ideas first. Can we say definite confirmation!?!
