Not every shop on Etsy is super cool looking, modern and trendy. Some of us are mere mortals trying to support a habit.
My habit at the moment is cross stitch design. I find it difficult to sit still in a group or while watching a show. It started innocently enough - I bought other people's patterns and stitched. And stitched. And stitched. But then I found out you could actually make your own designs. Sometimes other people liked them. And wanted them. So if I'm not testing a new design, I'll be working on making my own patterns.
Most of what you should be seeing here are my pdf patterns.
But wait, there's more coming soon.
Most of my patterns are super easy to do, but they still need to be cross stitched out, to find the little errors and to see if the borders work.
After making sure the pattern is working to perfection, it has to be fitted into a frame.
Then a picture of the finished, framed item has to be taken to display on Etsy.
Pattern after pattern, frame after frame.
That's how you end up with walls that make you look like a hoarder, and friends and family who cautiously open that 5 by 7 inch package from you.
So, occasionally you will find an original finished pattern for sale in my shop.
Note: my patterns and my finished cross stitch pieces are not made in a pet free environment - I do have a dog. However, I don't smoke, so there's that. Also, I am usually listening to really good music while cross stitching, usually bluegrass - folk. John Prine, Avett Brothers, Campp, Angela Perley and the Howling Moons, Hocking River String Band, Jason Isbell and others. That has to have a really positive effect on my work.
