I wrote to the owner of this shop before posting this negative review. I received no response, let alone an apology. He apparently doesn't care. The photos of the product are deceptive. These really are "mini" palmier. The packaging was terrible. The "freshness" tube was flimsy and did nothing to prevent breakage. Only 4 cookies arrived intact. The remainder were broken/smashed into inedible pieces. The shipping was more than the cost of the product. I order baked goods from Etsy all the time. As shipping costs increase, the packaging should require as much care as the preparation of the product. It is the responsibility of the baker to do everything he or she can to assure the product arrives intact. This baker seems to lack the necessary pride in his product to package correctly and to respond to disappointed buyers

I sent these to my Dad for Father's Day, because the Swiss bakery he loves in another city does not ship pastry. Dad reports that these were the best Palmiers he's ever had (in almost 90 years of sampling), and that they stayed crispy over the few days it took to eat them--which is rare. Thanks so much!
