I started my Etsy store in 2013 having previously tried building my own store website for my crocheted textile scarves. The day I discovered Etsy was a huge “A-Ha!” moment as it freed me from web design and provided an instant, international audience for my work. I immediately started listing items on Etsy and haven’t looked back! Where I was living at the time was a tiny, third world country in the South Pacific Ocean (Vanuatu) and finding an international platform where I could showcase my work meant I could enjoy my spectacular environment without feeling that it restricted my sales arena. Because of Etsy I could concentrate on designing new crochet patterns and then turning them into unique, wearable creations.

The artisan jewelry side of my life began when I simply couldn’t find what I wanted to wear myself. Whilst living in Vanuatu I took the time to learn various jewelry making techniques. Eventually I had the skills to make the earrings that I had always wanted… simple yet elegant hooks with gemstones or freshwater pearls that were neither too short nor too long, had enough movement so the stones and pearls would gleam with reflected light, and were easily affordable while also using high quality, hypoallergenic materials.
