Visual inspiration to spark imagination

I am a daydreamer and chronic doodler. I was always that kid surrounded with paper and art supplies, quietly drawing. Creating art made me happy, content to sit for hours drawing from my imagination or observing the people, objects around me.

Growing up in Philadelphia, with its rich traditions, vibrant city life and unique neighborhoods, has inspired much of current body of work today.
The vibrant culture of Philadelphia is a part of me and my art, just as my art and I are part of it.

Why I began to create wearable art:

I always had a love of making jewelry even as a child, I had an assortment of boxes filled with baubles, charms and old broken jewelry pieces. I marveled in making something unique but at the time it was just a fun hobby for me.
In recent years I began to play with jewelry again, creating unique pieces for myself or gifts for family members. The idea just came to me to incorporate my love for painting and jewelry into one. Now I paint and sell one of a kind mixed media art pendants, mini works of wearable art. Beautiful landscape paintings and my favorite artist, Frida Kahlo, from my Frida collection.
Painting on a small scale can sometimes be a challenge but it is a fun challenge.
