5 out of 5 starsI love pieces that tell a story, and this pendant tells an enchanting one! The jasper stone really does look like a desert night scene, complete with rolling mountain peaks and a glowing twilight sky. It was genius and inspired to add the diamond star, brushed gold moon, and twinkling platinum comet. This piece just makes me happy, happy. Barney is wonderful to work with, and such a talent. Thank you again, and take good care! 👌

5 out of 5 starsBeautiful Stone. Silver work is awesome. Sugilite is one of my favorites. I love your thoughts about your work and will remember them when I look and wear your work. A whole new and improved meaning for hand crafted. I'll be back. The shipping was awesome too. Regards, Ann

5 out of 5 starsThis pendant is very sophisticated. The asymmetrical shape is elegant. The mokume gane surface looks different under different lights, and its technical accuracy is extremely impressive. Wonderful piece.

5 out of 5 starsBeing a metalworker myself, I have always been a fan of creative craftmanship. I recognize the amount of time and experience that goes into detail-oriented creations, and can re-create the steps in my mind. What I cannot do (and what most people find difficult) is seeing the product in their mind in the first place. This is the creative brilliance that sets the true artist apart from the craftsman, and leaves those of us who admire this gift in awe. The pendant I purchased is one of many of Joyfulcrow's pieces that left me flabbergasted, and I agonized for over a week which one to choose for a Christmas gift. When I finally made my decision, Barney went out of his way to make special shipping arrangements with me to ensure that the recipient would have it in time for the holiday. There were many factors that led to her claim of this being her "best Christmas ever", but I have no doubt that the constant presence of this piece on her neck was one of them. Let's face it: jewelry is just a "thing", and "things" rarely serve as a source of happiness. Why, then, do Joyfulcrow's "things" serve as a reliable source of inspiration and hope? When I browse through his work and lose myself in the coppery brilliance hanging between my loved one's collarbones, I am reminded that there is a class of people out there in the world who can create beauty from raw materials for no other reason than the fulfillment of their inner vision. When Barney sees a stone, he doesn't just visualize the jewelry that can result, but he hears a story and feels a set of emotions that drives his task in a way that conveys through the wearer, the buyer, and every admirer who lays eyes on his unique pieces or art.

5 out of 5 starsdisplaying the aberrant and eccentric ways of the sea so impeccably that i could scream like a giddy kid for days and days. so charming and full of character, this is definitely a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful piece. it doesn't get in the way, either - so for being "out there" it's actually subtle enough for everyone to love. but for me with my heart of the ocean, it's exceptionally perfect.
