Stylish Handmade Crossbody bags, zipper pouches and accessories

Sewing and designing is in my genes, literally! I apprentice for my great grandmother, Delia by threading her needles at age 5. She taught me how to sew through her love of quilting. My mother, Julia made all of my clothes. I refined my sewing techniques by watching her make my pants, dresses, jumpsuits and costumes! I was a girl that grew up with everything homemade!

When I began my shop in May 2009, (www.etsy.com/shop/juliasherrydesigns) I was creating all of my clutches from my dining room table. Today, I'm fortunate enough to have a room dedicated for my shop.

When creating new designs, I love to shop on the internet for the latest fabrics which brings me instant inspiration. I am a one-women-shop! I cut, pin and sew all of my creations with the love that Julia and Delia gave me! This shop and my designs are in tribute to my mother, Julia Houston. She was always a great source of creativity and impeccable style. Julia left this world several years ago, but her spirit still inspires me.

I'm so grateful for Etsy and the creative environment it provides for me and so many others in this community of handmade artisan.
