Discovering Mid Century Americana

I grew up in Poland and moved to the U.S. in the 1980s, having no experience with American vintage. Several years ago, a friend introduced me to vintage and especially mid century items. I was already attracted to that kind of appearance of household items and furniture, but didn't know much about them. Had no idea what Pyrex or Fire King were, let alone Frankoma, Dansk, or Arabia Finland. Over the last couple of years, I've become quite the expert. As it turns out, I have an eye for that certain mid century something. I first started buying vintage for my home, but as time went on, my collection grew much too big and I opened an etsy shop. This way, I still have the joy of getting something I love, but don't have to worry about finding room for it and get the added satisfaction of finding it a new and happy home.
