It all began with a hand tied tutu and a Taylor Swift shirt to match for my daughters for an upcoming concert. White owning a kids clothing store, I wanted something different for my girls to wear to an upcoming Taylor Swift concert. I posted the pics on our store's Facebook page and chaos ensued. We became so busy with sets for the concert, I almost missed the concert, but we made it and took a picture with most of the girls lined up in front of a clothing company sponsoring Taylor Swift at the time. I realized I might be on to something with the custom shirts. At the time, I embroidered and made kids clothing as well. The custom got to take up more than the tiny workroom I had in the stores location and we moved to a larger location to have a bigger workroom.
Soon, the economy crashed, but the custom stuff was still doing well. We closed up the clothing shop and I moved to a workroom so I could continue to bring my kids to school in the city I worked. We eventually moved to 'town' into a home with a large workroom for me to bring the shop 'home'.
Our oldest daughter was helping me at the time and helped me decide I should dabble in Etsy. After all, I'd had an etsy store for years I had never used. So, 7 years after making a cute concert outfit for our 2 middle daughters (and a baby later), I launched into Etsy. Drawing on my lifetime love for music, the South and generations of farming, here I am, on our 4 year anniversary with Etsy with a line of roughly 150 shirts, a tumbler line, Sweet Sips, and inspiration to add more all the time. I love to be inspired by things around me, music, art, living in the south, our farm life, and life in Christ.
