Hi, I'm Lauren, the founder of LaurensNook. Welcome to my shop, where you will find my collection of personalized children's clothes and gift sets.

About me: I grew up in a small town in northern Indiana. After high school, I went to college and received my bachelors degree in nursing. Immediately following graduation I began working as an ER nurse in Fort Wayne. After working for a few years, my husband commissioned into the Army and received orders to move to Fort Rucker, Alabama for flight school. Shortly after moving, our son Jack joined our family. In 2012, as a stay at home mom, I decided to pursue my passion for sewing and crafting, the beginning of LaurensNook. Originally I started very small scale with making items and gifts for friends and family with just a basic sewing machine and supplies. After several sales requests from friends and the positive response I received from the gifts, I decided to open LaurensNook on Etsy. Wanting to expand to unique and personalized items, I tried my hand at applique. I immediately fell in love with the endless personalization opportunities.

After more then 700 sales, 4 military moves, 2 sewing machines, and 2 embroidery machines, LaurensNook has grown to a scale I could have never imagined. God is truly good. The shop has been an unexpected blessing while keeping me sane through the 2 deployments and many training exercises my husband has been on. It moves wherever the army sends us! And I thank you for being my customer and allowing me to make all of your personalized outfits and gifts.
