I love all things floral; I love to keep, collect, and create beautiful objects.

I can't seem to resist collecting 1940's tablecloths, damask linens, vintage feedsacks, "talkative" textiles, restaurant ware, wrapping paper, candy wrappers and a multitude of other beautiful paper scraps.

I received a 4-year certificate from a textile art school in Berkeley, CA, studying weaving, fabric printing and dyeing, and textile history (among many other topics), then moved on to computer programming in order to make a living, and I’m now a small business owner with my husband, selling stringed instruments – he’s a luthier, and I’m the office and website manager.

I'm inspired by the natural world, by poetry. These days I quilt, and dabble in papel picado, letterpress printing, bookbinding, and creating with crepe paper.

Oops - almost forgot: my mom – whose beautiful handwoven textiles are featured now and again – immersed herself in the classes and community of her local weavers guild in the 70's and 80's, becoming a professional handweaver, and selling her table linens, scarves, shawls, and garments sewn from her handwoven fabrics at local art fairs. Prevented from weaving because of a health concern in the mid 80's, some of her scarves, shawls, garments and yards of fabric were tucked away in storage until now.
