Blooming Into Something Big

I have always loved simple. You know...the "less is more" approach when it comes to how I decorate my home and what I wear. I could never find anything like that when it came to hair accessories for my daughters. Because of that...they never wore anything in their hair. If I did come across an expensive clip in a boutique it wouldn't even stay in their hair.

So I started making my own. It was the perfect hobby for a perfectionist like me. First and foremost...I made sure my hair accessories were comfortable to wear and would stay in the hair. A couple weeks after I opened my Etsy shop I got three orders in one day. I couldn't believe it! Then...it took off from there. I have taught myself how to take photographs, network, package and ship. It is all me. Everything you see....that was me!

I started with a handful of supplies on my dining room table. Now I have a craft room that always looks like a bomb went off. Little Blooms has grown from a few flower hair clips to wool felt flowers and bows, German glass glitter stars, and cabochon flower jewelry. I'm sure it will keep growing!

I think it's safe to say as I am working into the wee hours of the night...this has become a full time job. I still think of it as my "little hobby" but I'm beginning to realize it is so much more than that. Little Blooms has bloomed into something big.
