I started this shop because I wanted to share a piece of me with the world.
I like creating my jewelry and didn't want it to just sit around. By selling my works here on Etsy my pieces can have an adventure as part of YOUR collection.
I would describe my workspace as hectic, but I love it that way because it makes me feel at home.
How i make my items:
I love scouring for my supplies. I've taken apart old necklaces, and earrings to use bits and pieces.
I surf the web for interesting and neat beads and pendants to use in my designs.
I tend to buy lots of chain, clasps, pendants from various bead stores. Then I'll either bead, or put together the jewelry. I find that cutting my chain, and adding the jump rings+clasps myself is cheaper for me. My beaded items are hand beaded by me. I'm thinking of adding vintage jewelry later on, they will be marked vintage if and when I do.
My resin jewelry I make myself with resin, and molds. Occasionally I can find some cute resin pendants online to use.
I use the US Postal Service to ship, normally first class to keep shipping costs reasonable.
When the packages are large enough (normally 2 items or more) I can offer a delivery confirmation number.
Unless it's being shipped internationally then a number is not possible, but delivery hasn't failed me.
I draw inspiration from various sources around me- art, magazines, movies, nature, and any little ideas that pop into my head.
I have many catalogs coming to my door which I'll glean color combinations from.
In fact a red and gold necklace I made was inspired by a magazine advertisement. I had never considered mixing those two colors until I saw it.
But mostly I just lay out some beads and let the pieces sort of mold themselves by what appeals to my eye.
I do this by sitting down with either a pendant, or set of beads and I begin meticulously laying them out to create a unique piece.
This tends to take an hour or more just planning the layout, then comes the stringing and finishing. I put lot of time and effort into my pieces.
I'm always trying to experiment with new ideas, and supplies.
I have been obsessed with fashion ever since I was young.
There are so many fashion styles that I love that I couldn't just create for one.
So I decided to section off my shop to include all the styles I like!
I try to make pieces that can fit a variety of occasions. From formal to everyday wear.
I hope that you can find a piece of my jewelry that fits your needs, as a gift to someone you know or a present to yourself.
I hope to be a helpful source of goods to make your life more beautiful then it already is.
