Hi,

My name is Drew, and welcome to my little shop, Look and Sea!

You can be assured that each and everyone of my designs is handcrafted by me, and only me. I take great pride in making my nautically inspired glass art pieces, and I think it shows. People tell me that my sweet little sailboats and my other coastal designs make them happy, and I believe it, because designing them makes me happy! I hope you love them, and all of my other nautically inspired designs, as much as I love making them! I truly love designing my sweet little sailboats!

I've just added a few polymer clay beads and necklaces to my shop. I vowed I'd never dabble in jewelry making, but the urge overcame me, and oh boy! is it ever fun!


A little about me. I love the ocean, and I love lakes, and.....pools! I love water. Period. It makes me happy. Being around water, or even better, submerged in it, fills my soul with peace. I started out my life in Michigan at my beloved Lake Fenton, then moved East with my family to a sleepy little ocean town in CT on Long Island Sound where I still live to this day. My husband and I raised our kids in this same community in which I grew up in. I've always lived near water, and don't intend on ever living away from it. I am a lucky girl to be able to look out my window and see boats float by at the end of my street, which now influences my artwork. Much of what you see in my designs is a whimsical glimpse of my life living on the Coast.


I love to add sparkle to any thing that I can in my designs because many days it seems as if diamonds have been dropped on Long Island Sound because it sparkles so beautifully! Such an influence in my design process!


And speaking of sparkle! Taking pictures of my designs proves to be a challenge! Just about every piece is sparkly and transparent! I like to show different backdrops so that you can see the transparency, but when it becomes warmer out, I am then able to take the pictures of my designs at the beach where it looks better. Take my word for it - if you love what you see in the pictures, you will love it even more in person!


My love for the ocean clearly is reflected in my designs, as is my personality! Each little sailboat glass art piece tells a story; it's either a family of sailboats happily floating out at sea, or a group of sailboats watching the Forth of July fireworks on the water. Such fun! You will see a mommy sailboats with her baby, or just one sailboat out enjoying the day on the water. My cottage design is based on me being able to see sailboats float by the end of the street on which I live. I am always coming up with new ideas.
