One day, I received a beautiful pair of feather earrings from a fellow Etsian... and, although I loved and admired them so, something about them threw me off. So I did a little trimming, and 'fixed' them. Then, I thought, "Hey, why the hell can't *I* do something like this?" I've always been a creative person, and a fast learner... and I loved feathers so much...
So, over the next few months, I began endlessly searching Michael's, Wal Mart, and the dollar stores for supplies, and Etsy and eBay for feathers. After hundreds of dollars spent (mostly here on Etsy), I began creating. My craft became better, I learned what works and what doesn't, I learned what shops I wanted to continue buying from to stock up/replace supplies, I learned what people like...
Even though I have only made a few sales (and oh, the JOY from making a sale! There's nothing like having that notification pop up on my phone... what a GREAT feeling! <3), the passion is still there, and I will not give up. I love doing this, and I have so much to offer, and so much that is up my sleeve... so many ideas and creations that are ready to burst! I can't wait to see where this takes me. <3
