I rough Turritella Shell fossil 2. Cutting slabs 3. slab marked for trim saw 4. Cutting basic slabs shapes for grinding -
1. Wet slabs; example of how finished cabs will look 2. Grinding cabochons 3. Finished cabochons 4. Starting silver work -
1. Stamping my mark on backing 2. Soldering bezel to the backing plate 3. Some parts, it's starting to look like jewelry -
1. Filing the cavity before attaching the bale 2. Soldering again 3. Bezeling the silver against the stone 4. Polishing -
Some finished pieces. Turritella is fossil shells, actually an agate.
