Hello, Thank you for visiting my site.
Lyn's Book Basket started in November of 2000.
I began with books, lesson plans, and children's blankets. Since then, I have home schooled 2 boys all the way through high school, gotten better at knitting and crocheting, and improved my available book selection for quality and price. The books are new and, therefore, not eligible to be sold here. Right now, I sell them at a few venues each year and by special appointment. When I find a way to list them on-line, I will make them order-able from my web page.
For most of my knit and crochet items, I either make my own pattern or adapt an historic pattern. When I make my own pattern, I jot it down so I can make it again later. The same goes for adapting the old patterns. The old patterns I use for adaptation came from 2 sources. The first was my Great-Grandmother's thread/yarn work cedar chest. Modern Priscilla Magazines from the 1920's that I found while in college is my other source.
Right now, I have some of my knit and crochet items listed as well as a few of the patterns. I am working on expanding my selections. For knit and crochet items, I plan to have accessories (children's and adult), children's clothing and some household items. I will also have many instant download patterns available when I get them typed up and samples made so I can get pictures. (I didn't used to take pictures of the items I made.)
The first items that I was told should go onto etsy were my lesson plans. When I get them typed up, I will have them available. When the lesson plans are active, I will have sample pages accessible on my web page. (I will have the link in the etsy item description.) The lesson plans will be downloadable and include a library book list. For those who want to be shipped everything - books, lesson plans, worksheets, workbooks.... I will make a few Learning Kits available as well.
The second items that I was told to sell here were the business planning/record forms I made for myself and a few other small (non-direct sales company) businesses. These will be added at a later date.
It has been suggested to me to sell some of my items on etsy since it started. With both children in college now, I finally have the time to do so. I hope that you enjoy my listings and come back as I add more to my listings.
Thank you, again, for visiting my site.
