I’m Ezgi. I have a-6-years old son. I was working as a fashion designer which is also my profession, before my son was born. So that, fabrics, yarns and knits haven always been in my life. When I was a child, I used to sew dresses, knit sweaters to my baby dolls and I loved playing with them.

After I had a child, I became interested in doll making. It was the first time I fell in love with a Waldorf Doll when my son started play-group at a Waldorf Kindergarten 4 years ago. Its softness, smell, and sweetness touched my soul and I couldn’t keep myself making one for my son. I joined a doll making Workshop at Waldorf Kindergarten, and it was my first step in to this world. Then, I started making dolls for my friends’ babies. After a little bit more experience, I wanted to touch different children’s life. This is how Mamamboo started. Giving a name was the hardest thing. I thought about it around 1 or 2 months. Then I had an idea.

Mamamboo has a sweet story. My son was around 9 months old. While he was looking at me and my husband with cheerful eyes, just woke up, suddenly his first word ‘’Mamamboo’’ came. It was his first word! Even if we will never know what it means, it was precious for us. It turned out that, the name of the dolls has already around us and just grabbed it. :)

Babies, play with Waldorf Dolls in the coziness of the wool and cotton. Minimal and straight faces allow any expression that the child needs at that moment and encourages creative play. Each Waldorf Doll I make are unique and has their own personalities.
