Everything began, when we moved to a new town. Having a small child it wasn´t easy to find a job (despite having a degree). Therefore, in order to gain money for everyday needs, I had to start sewing.
My first customers were people from our neighbourhood. My work consisted of small repairs and later I added sewing of new clothes. During that time I realized, that there was not enough variety of fabrics in our town. After precise thinking and consulting my family, I have decided to open a store with fabrics. That was in 1994.
Slowly, after several years of hard work, the business started to grow. Beside the fabric store, I have been manufacturing and selling kids clothes untill the time, when the market became filled with low-cost clothes from China. That meant the end for my Fashion Kids store. Sadly as it is, the consumption behaviour of the citizens, let them prefer the price to the quality of the things... However, my love to fabrics, loyal customers and broad variety of fabric-designs, did not allow me to close my fabric store!
During next years, we had to move several times. Each move meant a new start in gaining our customers. I worked in the store 8 hours a day. Apart from that I spent 2-3 hours by organising the related documents and meeting with the suppliers. Thanks to help and understanding of my family, we were able to overcome that hard period.
When my doughter started to work full-time for the company, She brought in her fresh thinking, computer and language knowledge. "If you wish to maintain your position on the market, you have to move forward and accept new challenges." For us, the new challenge was internet.
In 2010, the business changed to a Ltd. company. The fabric store became well known in the whole region and there are customers, who are willing to travel from another town, to be able to choose some unique fabrics for their projects. Last 3 years have shown, that internet has also been a good choice. We have reached more customers and we have gained trust as a seller abroad.
That was our story, which tought us, that without hard work, there won´t be any success, you´ll be able to be proud of!
