McElf Glassworks is a full service glass art studio in Buffalo, NY specializing in custom stained glass and glass sculpture. Here follows the activities of McElf & the GlassWorks.

Megan McElfresh Augspurger, professionally known as McElf, is a genetically engineered, third generation glass craftsman. She is an advocate of forensic DNA identification, city renovation & restoration, and economics. Her sculptural glass work is often built to benefit those interests.

McElf has studied creativity via glass in some form or another for her entire life: her mother and grandmother are both glass craftsmen. She received her BA in 2008, concentrating her studies in studio art glass methods and glass history while contributing to the Peninsula Glass Guild. In addition, she has also studied extensively at Pilchuck Glass School, the Corning Museum of Glass, and Vitrum Glass Studio. During tenure in the DC area, McElf was active with the National Capital Art Glass Guild and assisted with the renovation and founding of Artful Dimensions Sculpture Gallery in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Now an extremely happy resident of Buffalo, NY, McElf is active with the Interior Design Association of WNY, the Buffalo Young Preservationists and Emerging Leaders in the Arts, Buffalo (ELAB). When not creating glass work, she is assisting her husband with the restoration of industrial buildings on the city’s East Side or relaxing amongst her 100+ vegetable plants and her two dogs.
