Hello friends! I'm Mel, the face behind Mel's Metal Market. I started this business a few years ago as a creative outlet and for something to occupy my time in our long, cold Alberta winters. Since then it has grown to the point where I quit my job and work on your signs most of my waking hours! (When I'm not adventuring with my favourite people). I started off with a few simple designs, and then I began getting so many custom requests. I love this because my favourite part of my job is getting to know you! I love working together with my customers to come up with the perfect sign for your beautiful homes and yards.

My husband, Carson, is a great sidekick and the best business partner. We bought a new and improved plasma table last year and have been perfecting cuts and quality, always trying to be better.

Frequently asked questions

Can this sign be hung outside?

Yes! I now paint all of my signs with rust proof paint. However, the back is not painted so if your sign will be in a spot that gets wet alot, you can request for me to paint the back as well. It will take slightly longer to ship as I will have to cure both sides then.

I am from Calgary. Do you offer local pick up?

I am located in a little town called Linden, which is about an hour north east of Calgary. If you want to drive out here to pick it up, you are more than welcome to. I do offer free shipping and it is overnight to Calgary.
