Hi there! I'm Rhonda. I'm the person behind Midnight's Meadow. Everything you see in my shop has been designed by me. I hand draft each pattern as well as cut, sew and package every order myself. There are no elves in my shop so you can be assured that when you ask a question you are receiving your answer from me and me alone. I'm literally a one woman shop (both a blessing and sometimes a curse, haha).

I have always been an artistic person and am at my happiest when I am creating, either by drawing, painting, crocheting or (obviously) sewing. I was about 8 years old when my mom and my grandma taught me to sew. I started with making clothes for my Barbie dolls and then began making my own clothes and Halloween costumes. I loved it because I knew I would have something unique. I made my first renaissance costume for myself in 1999 which quickly led to me making costumes for friends and family. I began designing and selling them online in late 2004 and have been loving it. My husband is retired now from the US Air Force and this business has allowed me to take it with me in all of our moves and stay home with our 2 daughters while keeping a little something for myself - and something to keep me from going crazy during his long deployments. This can be a hard gig but I do love it. I have been able to work with some amazing customers all over the world from people going to their very first faire, to whole theatre and dance troupes. I have even outfitted several brides and wedding parties! I don’t do as much custom work as I used to as my home life is a bit more demanding now that my girls are teenagers (and both in theatre so I help out with those productions often), but I’m still here and loving it! I am so thankful every day that I am able to do what I love for a living.
