I'm extremely blessed to have the opportunity to turn crafting into a home business. I love what I do, and I love the materials that I work with. I love putting different colors, styles, textures, and embellishments together to create quality accessories that can be treasured and loved.

When my first daughter was born I discovered that my outings to the mall no longer meant shopping for myself, but largely consisted of perusing the racks of adorable baby clothes and impossibly small baby shoes. What mother doesn't enjoy dressing up her darling tiny human? And then, just when I thought my baby's wardrobe couldn't get any cuter, I stumbled upon Etsy. Hair bows, ruffly socks, leg warmers, crochet hats -- I was in baby shopping bliss. As I was drooling over the aforementioned items, my hubby leaned over and said, "you could make that" (I realize now that he was probably trying to steer us away from financial ruin at the hands of my newfound obsession with clothing our daughter). I sat there and stared. Could I really? Did I dare to attempt what these handmade goddesses had perfected? I gave it a shot. My first attempts were not pretty, to put it lightly. But I stuck with it and slowly perfected a different style of bow at a time.

I then realized I had a new obsession: ribbon. I soon amassed so much ribbon that I wondered if I too could attempt the selling world of Etsy. Over 800 sales later, I am so very glad that I took the plunge. Running my own business has been challenging, but for every challenge has been twice as rewarding. Packaging up orders and sending them to their new homes, creating custom bows for special occasions, and discovering the world of wholesale orders has been a dream. So thank you, to Etsy, to my customers, to my husband, and to my daughter, without whom I would not have the opportunities I have today.

I am simply blessed.
