Moorefield Pottery is owned and operated by Emily Moorefield Mariola. Located at our farm in rural Ohio, I hand throw all my pottery in a fabulous studio attatched to our home.
I use a stoneware clay and fire my pots in an electric kiln. We live on a farm with too many sheep, chickens, goats, and beef cows. My husband and I also have four "free-range" children: Ian, Vincy, Annie, and Melia. They are my greatest happiness and my greatest inspiration. My husband Mike is a wonderful chef, and has just opened his third restaurant. Our focus is on local and sustainable food, and my pottery is used in one of these restaurants (the South Market Bistro). All of my work is food and dishwasher safe.
