Both digital pattern formats that I sell in my shop are PDF files (simple a file type). The Print-at-home patterns are printed on your home printer on normal paper and then taped together to form a full sized pattern.

The Draft-at-home patterns use a system of small patterns and rulers that scale the pattern up to your individual measurements. You can see a tutorial here that shows how easy the draft-at-home patterns are to use here:
