Jools can't remember a time when she wasn't drawing." As a small child I drew on any blank surface I could find, even the tiny margins of my poor Dad's newspapers &, according to my mother, a certain area of wall behind the sofa."
So it was without surprise that her working life has followed a rather creative trail, illustration, workshops, arts youth work, carnival arts... Meanwhile she had always been drawing to amuse herself & with an imagination unhindered by adulthood her drawings were quite diverse. "I remember the day I was sitting in my studio in the grounds of Reigate Castle doodling ideas for nursery rhyme illustrations. There on the page sat a character who shone out above all the others. I drew her again. People started to point her out without knowing why, just that she appealed to them. And so My Lil' Bo was born."
Bo had been sitting in sketchbooks for sometime while Jools ponderedon what to do with her. It was an American friend who introduced her to Etsy & she immediately set up a shop. Sadly, due to various commitments, it took until 10th May 2013 to get the first listings up! A tentative start but My Lil Bo intends to grow, and grow ... and grow! Come share the journey with us x
